Radiation found in water in Northwestern Ohio

T he fallout from the nuclear crisis after the earthquake and tsunami in J apan has finally reached our own backyard.
F irst E nergy reports that it has detected iodine 131 in puddles of rainwater at the D avis B esse nuclear power plant in O ak H arbor. T hat's the same iodine popping up across the United States in the aftermath of the disaster.
Scientists say th e amounts are not harmful to humans. T he iodine was also detected at C ase W estern R eserve U niversity and the P erry N uclear P ower P lant.
