A Georgia couple is accused of giving their newly adopted dog LSD. The Dachshund named Oscar then ran into traffic, hit by a car and later put down because of its injuries.

Snellville Police on Oct. 30 responded to a call of naked man and women running down the street. When officers arrived on the scene they found 25 year old Nicholas Modrich and his girlfriend Jamie Hughes inside a home. According to the police report, Modrich was still naked when he answered the door.

The couple told police they had smoked marijuana, took LSD and gave some acid to their dog Oscar. But the dog was nowhere to be found. While police were still at the home Modrich's mother and brother arrived with Oscar who had been hit by a car. She told police she received a call about the dog lying a nearby street hurt. Oscar had to be put down a few days later. According to adoption papers, the couple had adopted Oscar just 5 days before the incident.

Modrich and Hughes have been charged with disorderly conduct but they could face animal cruelty charges pending the outcome of the investigation.
