Man tells police to tase him, officers oblige

Darrell Horne / Volusia Co. Jail

"Don't Tase me, bro." You may recall this famous phrase uttered by a University of Florida student who disrupted a 2007 event featuring Senator John Kerry.

Well, a Florida man asked deputies to do the complete opposite, begging them to use a stun gun on him.

It all began December 2 when police say Darrel Lee Horne and a friend stole a rowboat, jumped into a lake and then ran from cops naked through the woods.

The dynamic duo was eventually arrested and this is where according to the Volusia County Sheriff's report things got interesting.

Horne and his friend began fighting each other in the back of the police cruiser.

When Deputy Taylor Sierstorpff opened the door Horne demanded "Taser Me, Taser me Bro."

The deputy obliged after Horne would not settle down, zapping him in the chest.

Horne became compliant after being shocked.

Horne and his friend are facing charges of armed burglary, grand theft, and resisting arrest.
