A Southeastern Pennsylvania woman who police say duct-taped her child to a chair is held without bail after a court appearance.
Police arrested Caira Ferguson, 21, on child endangerment and other charges Wednesday after she showed them a photo of her toddler duct taped to a chair. The tape covered the child's mouth and eyes.
Ferguson is seen posing next to the toddler in the disturbing photo, which she passed to authorities as part of an identity theft complaint. She told police that someone had posted the picture of her online.
Police contend Ferguson admitted taping the girl to a chair about seven months ago but as she was being led to jail, she told reporters she didn't do it.
The child is in custody of child welfare workers.
