'Real Housewives' hubby to run for Governor

According to NBC News, former White House party crasher Tareq Salahi is hoping to run for Governor of Virginia.

Salahi submitted a candidacy declaration, on Tuesday, as a Republican candidate for Virginia's highest office.

The filing comes a day after another GOP candidate for the office, Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, filed a lawsuit against Salahi.

The allegation is that Salahi's winery cheated customers who bought winery tours.

Despite the filing, the State Board of Elections is prohibited from accepting the declaration until 2013 when the election is scheduled.

The wine maker who gained notoriety for allegedly sneaking into a state dinner, with his wife, in 2009 also had a role on Bravo's "Real Housewives of D.C."

More recently, Salahi made headlines after he claimed his wife had been kidnapped.

It turned out she had actually run off with a guitarist for the band "Journey".
