Wellness Wednesday: Orange Theory Fitness

Orange Theory Fitness is the latest fit fad in town. What makes the fitness center unique are the heart rate monitors. You can wear one on your wrist or around your chest and your stats will show up on a big screen- along with the rest of the participants. The goal is to stay in the orange or red zone.
A coach guides the one hour class. You are asked to hit it hard on the treadmill for a couple minutes and then bring your hear rate back down at intervals. From there, participants can hop on the rower machine and hit a goal before breaking it up with other exercises in the weights section of the gym.
By the end of the class, each participant will know where their heart rate stayed, how many calories were burnt and much more.
