Bowling Green State's baseball team completed a series sweep over rival Toledo by capturing a 6-3 victory Sunday at Scott Park.
The game looked to be a pitchers-duel through the first three innings, but then the Falcons broke free in the fourth. Jesse Rait would get an RBI ground out to the second baseman to put BG on the board first. Logan Walker would then single to bring home another run and give the Falcons a 2-0 lead.
In the fifth, the Rockets strike back. Tyler Baar would score the first run on a pinch hit ground out and then Nate Langhals would bring in another run with an RBI single. In the sixth inning, UT takes its first lead of the game after Matt Delewski's RBI single.
The Falcons responded in the seventh with Brian Bien's RBI to tie the game up at three. Then in the eighth with the bases loaded, Jake Thomas was hit by a pitch which scored the go-ahead run. BGSU notched two insurance runs in the ninth to lock up the 6-3 victory.
