It hasn't happened yet, but pending a talk with her parents, Central Catholic alum Brianna Jones will sign a letter of intent to play for Tricia Cullop and the University of Toledo Rockets.
Jones played at Illinois last year as a freshman but was dismissed from the team for unspecified rules violations just last month. Since that time, she has returned to the Glass City and has spent time observing practice at the University of Toledo. She hopes to sign in the next day or so.
The former Lady Irish post player was one of the top-50 players in the country as a senior at Central Catholic.
With the addition of Jones, the Rockets will have two former City League stars playing in the post. Start High School alum Yolanda Richardson will be a sophomore next season.
Due to NCAA rules, Jones will not be eligible until the 2011-2012 season.
