Former Falcons basketball greats Antonio Daniels and Anthony Stacey among those honored during Bowling Green's football game vs Temple.
Daniels, the fourth overall pick in the 1997 NBA Draft, joined 12 other former Falcons as members of BG's 'Cast of Honor', which is what the university refers to athletes that have had their jersey retired. Daniels was the MAC player of the year in the 1996-97 season and is already a member of the BGSU athletic hall of fame.
Speaking of the hall of fame, Stacey, the school's all-time leading scorer, was honored at half time as one of the three newest inductees.
"The icing on the cake...You have great teams here and I was lucky enough to be part of the All-Anderson team and then, you know, that arena closed and they opened up the Stroh Center and to go into the hall of fame, like I just said, is the icing on the cake...It's a great feeling and I don't think its quite sunk in just yet," said Stacey, who was also the 1999-2000 MAC player of the year.
Last year Stacey and Daniels were named to the All-Anderson team, a compilation of the greatest Falcon basketball players that were honored in Anderson Arena's final year.
