The Bowling Green State women's basketball team stunned MAC-leading Central Michigan with the 84-59 victory Sunday.
Senior Chrissy Steffen led the offensive spark for the Falcons with a game-high 19 points. Junior Jillian Halfhill and freshman Bailey Cairnduff each tallied 14 points, while junior Alexis Rogers finished with 13.
The Falcons defense forced the Chippewas to turn the ball over 21 times over the course of the game. BGSU's offense soared in the second half outscoring the Chippewas 50-29.
The Falcons improve to 14-7 overall, and is now 5-3 in MAC play. Central Michigan is now 13-8 overall, and falls for the first time in conference play (7-1 in MAC action).
