The University of Toledo's football team scored three touchdowns in the second half leading the Rockets to the 38-28 victory over Coastal Carolina Saturday.
Trailing the Chanticleers 21-17 early in the third quarter, Toledo's junior quarterback Terrance Owens helped the Rockets regain the lead after scoring on a eight yard run. Cassius McDowell finished out the quarter by rushing in for a six yard touchdown to put Toledo up by 10 at the end of the third.
Owens finished off the night in the fourth quarter with a seven yard touchdown pass to Cordale Scott for the final score of the night. Owens ended the night completing 27 of his 36 passes for 290 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. Owens has yet to throw an interception since the second quarter of the Western Michigan game Nov. 8, 2011 -- a string of 221 passes.
Toledo improves to 3-1 with this 38-28 win over Coastal Carolina. The Rockets travel to Western Michigan for their next game Saturday September 29th.
