RedHawks early spark too much for Rockets

UT's Ben Hammer breaks up the shutout with a groundout RBI in the 6th

The Miami RedHawks jumped out to an early lead over the Toledo Rockets and never looked back, defeating UT 13-4 Saturday at Mercy Field.

The Rockets broke up the shutout in the sixth inning with a groundout RBI by Ben Hammer. Toledo scored two more runs in the seventh but the RedHawks answered back with five runs in the eighth to extend the deficit to 13-3. UT mustered up one run in the ninth but it would not be enough as the Rockets fell to Miami 13-4.
