For the second straight game, Toledo's baseball team gave up four runs to the Miami RedHawks in the opening at-bat.
The RedHawks's Nate Bowles brought in two runs off a single and then Miami cashed in on three Toledo errors in the first inning to assume a 4-0 lead. The Rockets would score in the third but would go on to lose 4-1 to Miami Sunday at Mercy Field. Toledo's junior LHP Ryan Wilkinson was credited the loss, giving up four run on five hits with two strikeout in eight innings pitched. Miami's RHP Nathan Williams was credited with the complete-game victory allowing four hits and one run. UT's senior Ben Hammer notched two of the Rockets four hits and brought in the team's only earned run. Senior Tyler Grogg and senior Matt Delewski collected the Rockets other two hits. Toledo will be back in action Tuesday, April 2 as the team hosts Kent State at Scott Park.
