Rockets top Air Force in Military Bowl thriller

It all came down to one play for Air Force, and with 52 seconds left the Falcons botched a fake on the extra point and Toledo came out victorious 42-41 in the Military Bowl. It was the first win of Matt Campbell's head coaching career.

Air Force lined up to kick the extra point after Zach Kauth's 33-yard touchdown catch pulled the Falcons within a point. But holder David Baska ran the option instead, and he was hit and fumbled the ball out of bounds.

Bernard Reedy's third touchdown of the game gave Toledo a 42-35 lead with 5:01 remaining. Reedy finished with a career-high 126 yards on four catches. Springfield alum Eric Page returned a kickoff for a touchdown in the 1st quarter, the fourth time he has done so in his career. Page finished with 13 receptions for 59 yards.

Toledo finishes the season at 9-4. The Rockets scored 40 or more points in each of their last six games.

Air Force of the Mountain West ends up at 7-6.
