UT's Naama Shafir logged 23 points to help guide the Rockets to the 48-38 victory over their arch-rival Bowling Green State Saturday at the Stroh Center.
Both teams struggled offensively, combining for a total of 36 turnovers. The Falcons were able to contain the Rockets scoring to just 33.3 percent from the field, but UT locked up the win with a late 20-6 run.
Lecretia Smith was second in scoring for the Rockets finishing with nine points and eight rebounds. Jillian Halfhill led the Falcons with 13 points.
With the win, the Rockets improve to 13-2 on the season, and lock up their first MAC win of the season.
