After a neck and neck second half with Ball State, Toledo pulled ahead in the final six minutes for an 85-74 win. This victory stretches the Rockets homecourt win streak to 14 games, and it also puts UT just one away from tying its school record of 24 in 1939-40. The last time Toledo reached the 23-win mark was 34 years ago in 1979-80 which coincidentally was the last time the Rockets appeared in the NCAA Tournament.
Juice Brown had a team-high 20 points. Joining Brown in double digits were Nate Boothe, who had a season high 17 points, Justin Drummond also added 17 points, J.D. Weatherspoon finished with 14 points and 8 rebounds and Rian Pearson added 13 points.
Toledo moves to 23-4 overall and 11-3 in the MAC.
