BROOKLYN, MI- With the Quicken Loans 400 NASCAR race quickly approaching, racing fans are taking full advantage of what the true meaning of "race week" entails. Beginning on Monday, fans parked their campers in any of the 10 campground lots to take in the full racing experience.

Neil Fliehmann ans his wife Sandie have been camping at the Graves Farm Campground for five years. Even their 11 year-old pomeranian dog Lizzie is along for the week-long camping trip.

First-time MIS camper Steve Chaffecombe has camped at a number of NASCAR tracks, but decided this year it was time to make the trip to Michigan International Speedway.

Camping one week before the big race gives the NASCAR community a chance to meet new friends, catch up with old ones and explore the state of Michigan.

The ARCA Series kicks off the racing weekend on Friday at 5:15pm, while the Nationwide Series begins Saturday at 2pm, with the grand finale Quicken Loans 400 NASCAR race taking place Sunday at 1pm.
