A key witness in the alleged sexual abuse case against former Penn State football coach Jerry Sandusky took the stand Friday.
Assistant football coach Mike McQueary was testifying at a hearing against two former Penn State officials accused of covering up the abuse. McQueary told in graphic detail what he saw and heard inside a Penn State locker room in 2002.
He told prosecutors he first heard noises coming from the shower. He looked in a mirror and saw Sandusky behind the boy. He then went on to tell the court " I believe Jerry was sexually molesting him and having sexual intercourse with him."
McQueary tpld the court he went to his father first and then went to former Penn State coach Joe Paterno to tell him he witnessed Sandusky molesting a boy. He says he was then contacted by university offiicals who wanted to talk to him about what he saw.
This comes just days after Sandusky waived his right to a preliminary hearing. He faces 50 counts of sexual abuse.
