Hens fall in game 4; split series

TOLEDO, OH- The Mud Hens dropped their final game of the homestand with a 9-3 loss to the Chiefs on Friday night. Syracuse jumped out to an early 3-1 lead after the first inning as Toledo starter Derek Hankins lasted just 3.1 innings and gave up five runs on eight hits. Hankins falls 2-4 on the season.

Tyler Collins, James McCann and Brandon Douglas each recorded two hits while Collins and McCann each picked up an RBI. Mike Hessman added to his all-time RBI recorded for Toledo with an RBI single in the bottom of the first inning. Hessman is still in search of home run number 400 which would place him tied for third in American minor league baseball history.

The Hens will hit the road on Saturday night with a match-up in Rochester to face the Red Wings. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
