Inge moves to 2nd as Hens win 2nd in a row

Toledo 2nd baseman Brandon Inge

The Toledo Mud Hens made it two in a row on Wednesday night as they shutout Louisville 4-0 at Fifth Third Field.

The game was the second of three for Brandon Inge in Toledo as he continues to rehab from a groin injury. It was his first playing second base after hitting DH on Tuesday.

"I had a few plays where I...tested it out, see what it felt like, that's about all I was looking to do when I set out to play the field here. Cold nights too, so this has been a good tster for...the groin," Inge said.

Inge was upbeat about being back on the field and playing in Toledo.

"I don't care where I am, I just want to play baseball. I love the game and I have fun. This is a group of guys down here that's fun to be around anyway...Detroit's a fun place to go too. Anywhere you go in this organization you're going to have fun."

After a scorless first inning, the Hens put all four of their runs on the board in the second. Jerad Head doubled to right to score Ryan Strieby to get Toledo on the board, three batters later Bryan Holaday doubled to left to score two more runs. Matt Young capped the scoring with a sacrifice fly to left.

On the mound Fu-Te Ni went five innings, allowing four hits while striking out two. Rob Waite and Jose Ortega allowed a combined one hit in four innings of relief.
