Lake Flyers head to Cleveland Browns Stadium

The Lake Flyers football team is headed to Cleveland Saturday to take part in pre-game ceremonies at Cleveland Browns Stadium.

Team members, many of whom were directly affected by June's devastating tornado, will be on the field prior to the Browns' pre-season game against the St. Louis Rams. The Flyers will unfurl the flag during the playing of the national anthem.

Member of the Browns organization stepped forward, after the tornado destroyed Lake High School's football field and school building, to donate football equipment to the team. The organization also donated 100 tickets to Saturday night's exhibition NFL game to Lake Schools. Lake football players, coaches and their families will make the trip to Cleveland as guests of the Browns.

High school officials also say the Browns are considering funding some of the school's uninsured needs, including new locker rooms, storage facilities and visitors' bleachers.
