The Toledo Mud Hens notched their second home win in a row as they defeated the Louisville Bats 6-0 Saturday at Fifth Third Field.
Pitcher Casey Crosby was able to get his second win of the season. Crosby finished 6.2 innings pitched, allowed two hits and struck out eight batters.
In the fourth inning is when the Mud Hens started to pour it on. Ramon Cabrera got things going with a two-RBI single. Quintin Berry later laid down a bunt where the Bats' catcher would throw to third to get Cabrera out but the ball was tipped off the third baseman's glove so Cabrera cashed in on the error and scored Toledo's third run of the night. Later in the fourth, Argenis Diaz scored two more runs for Toledo with a single to give the Mud Hens the 5-0 lead after four innings.
Mud Hens would score another run in the fifth and hold off the Bats to win 6-0. The Mud Hens and the Bats will face off Sunday at 6 p.m. for game three of this four game home series for Toledo.
