The Toledo Mud Hens were dismantled by the Louisville Bats 12-0 Wednesday night at Fifth Third Field.
The Bats got to work in the second inning scoring three runs off of pitcher Ramon Garcia. Louisville added another run in the third and three more runs in the fifth off of Garcia to lead 7-0. Former Mud Hen Armando Galarraga carried a no hitter into the fifth inning before Mike Cervenak singled to left but was thrown out trying to stretch it for a double.
Louisville added on four more runs in the seventh and another in the eighth off for the 12-0 lead. Garcia was charged with the loss after allowing seven runs (five earned) on eight hits over five innings of work.
