Mud Hens 'Working Man' Jordan Lennerton

A walk up song is unique for every baseball player. It can be a song to pump them up or even a song to help them focus. For Mud Hens' first baseman Jordan Lennerton, he considers his walk up song a reflection of who his is and where he comes from. The song 'Working Man' by the iconic Canadian rock band Rush is Lennerton's song of choice because it is not only a reflection of where he's from but also what kind of a ball player he is.

Born and raised in British Columbia, Lennerton, or Lenny, never found his calling to be in hockey like most Canadians. Lenny says the game of baseball runs through his veins. His love for the game has brought him much success over the years competing in the Little League World Series, winning the College World Series in 2007 for Oregon State, and even play for Team Canada in the World Baseball Classic qualifier this past September.

Success just seems to follow Lenny. In his first 72 games with the Mud Hens this season, Lenny has a .331 batting average, 35 RBI, 11 home runs, and a .435 on base percentage. Lenny looks to continue to improve and hopes to one day hear his walk up song playing throughout Comerica Park.
