With NFL rookie camps opening this week, a number of players with northwest Ohio ties are hoping to earn a roster spot.
Among them, St. John's Jesuit alum, Andrew Schaetzke.
After graduating from St. John's, Schaetzke played football at Georgetown University where he was a consensus All-American and Defensive Player of the Year.
Schaetzke has been invited to Cincinnati Bengals camp which begins on Thursday.
Georgetown has had one player make an NFL roster in the last 50 years.
