Rob Chudzinski says he's "shocked and disappointed" at being fired by the Browns after just one season as coach.
Chudzinski was dismissed on Sunday night, hours after the Browns finished a 4-12 season with a 20-7 loss at Pittsburgh. The Browns dropped their final seven games under Chudzinski, who was on the job for less than one year.
In a statement released by the team, Chudzinski, a lifelong Browns fan, said "I am a Cleveland Brown to the core, and always will be."
The Browns seemed to be making progress under Chudzinski. They were 4-5 going into their bye, but collapsed in the second half of the season, prompting owner Jimmy Haslam and CEO Joe Banner to make the coaching change.
