Survivor of Bluffton Univ. bus crash involved in another team wreck

A former Bluffton University baseball player who survived a 2007 crash that killed five of his teammates and two others, survived another team wreck.

Allen Slabaugh was among eight people in a cycling team van that blew out a tire and flipped over this week in Idaho. They were heading to Seattle to start a cross country trek. No one was seriously hurt in that wreck.

In 2007, 24 year old Slabaugh was on a bus carrying members of the Bluffton University baseball team to Florida when it plunged off an Atlanta highway overpass.

The bus driver and his wife were killed, along with the five teammates. He suffered only minor injuries.

Slabaugh graduated from Bluffton in 2009.
