Thu, 26 Jun 2014 14:48:41 GMT — University of Toledo Men's Golf Head Coach Jamie Broce has made the cut after finishing second in qualifiers for this year's PGA Championship. Broce fell to Michael Block Wednesday in a sudden death playoff of the 47th PGA Professional National Championship at The Dunes Golf & Beach Club in Myrtle Beach, SC. Block and Broce finished first and second, respectively, to lead 20 golfers who qualified for the championship. Block, who is the the head PGA professional at Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club in Mission Viejo, Calif., beat Broce with a 3-foot birdie putt on the second extra hole.
Broce, who has guided the Rockets to second-place at MAC championships in each of his first two seasons as head coach, will compete in the PGA Championship August 7-10 at Valhalla in Louisville, Kentucky.
