Walleye fall to Cyclones in game 2 of playoffs

The Toledo Walleye lost 5-2 to the Cincinnati Cyclones for the second game of the opening-round ECHL playoff series Saturday.

The Cyclones David Pacan scored the first goal of the game in the second period and from there Cincinnati took over. Taylor Ellington then scored in the last few seconds of the second period to give the Cyclones a 2-0 lead. Pacan scored his second of the night 1:12 into the third on a power play goal and notched his third goal with 10:44 left.

Walleye's Joey Martin finally got Toledo on the board with 8:24 left in the third. Byron Froese also scored in the last 30 seconds of the game. The Walleye are down 0-2 in this best of seven playoff series as the team heads to Cincinnati for the next 2-3 games.
