The OHSAA baseball tournament continued at Mercy Field on Wednesday. St. John's, the top seed in the Toledo district, was victorious over Waite, 10-0. In the nightcap, Clay came from behind to beat Bowsher, 7-3. The Eagles will meet the Titans in the District semifinal next Thursday.
At Whitmer, the Three Rivers Athletic Conference held day one of their inaugural track and field championships.
Chris Wormley of the home school Panthers was victorious in the discus, while Findlay's Kyesha Neal won the girls shot put. Shanquise Mills, of Fremont Ross, won the boys long jump. The event concludes on Friday with the running finals and the other half of the field events.
