High school programs finally returned to the gridiron this month and already the defending state champion Central Catholic Fighting Irish are already sensing the high expectations for this season.

The Irish graduated 34 seniors from last yearâ??s squad, but return seven starters on offense and four starters on defense. This yearâ??s senior class already set their sights on winning back to back state titles which is a realistic goal since the Irish are moving from Division II to Division III this season.

The Irish open the 2013 season on August 31st against Warren De La Salle at Wayne State University.
