      Heisman Finds a Home

Maumee, OH -- Maumee High School will be the new home to a Heisman trophy.

Dick Kazmaier, a 1948 graduate of Maumee and winner of the 1951 Heisman will donate the trophy to his alma mater next month.

After high school, Kazmaier starred on the gridiron for the Princeton University Tigers.

Kazmaier turned down offers to play pro football and became a successful businessman.

Currently, there are only three other high schools in the world that house a Heisman trophy.

The actual presentation will take place on September 21, prior to Maumee hosting Perrysburg at Kazmaier Stadium.
