Tinora wins big thanks to mercy rule

Hamler, OH- Tinora (22-4) scored 10 runs in the first three innings to pull ahead of Toledo Christian (20-7) 10-1 before using the mercy rule to win the D IV regional game. The Rams added two more run in the fourth to make it 12-1, which gave the Eagles one last chance in the top of the fifth to score to avoid cutting the game short. However, Tinora pitcher Clay Pittman ended Toledo Christian's chance going 1-2-3 to end the game.

Tinora will take on Patrick Henry Friday at 5pm in the regional quarterfinals at Garrold Parratt Field.
