Yellowjackets swarm archrival Maumee 7-4

Perrysburg's Mark Delas ready to score the first run of the game

Perrysburg Yellowjackets varsity baseball team defeated archrival Maumee 7-4 at Maumee High School Wednesday evening.

Perrysburg scored first in the first inning, but then in the third Maumee pounced to take the lead 3-1 thanks to West Virginia-bound Steve Duby's bases clearing triple.

It was then in the fourth inning the Yellowjackets cashed in on a few errors by the Panthers. Steve Slocum tied the game up at three all with an RBI single and then, with the bases loaded, Perrysburg scored two runs off of two wild pitches. Kyle Durham capped off the inning with a two-RBI single to put the Yellowjackets up 7-3.
