Toledo city council approves patrolman's association contract

City council approves pay raise

Toledo City Council on Thursday unanimously approved a new collective bargaining agreement with the Toledo Police Patrolman’s Association.

This is the union representing Toledo’s police patrolman.

Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz said. “The new collective bargaining agreement makes Toledo more competitive with other cities, but more importantly, helps keep Toledo neighborhoods safe.”

The agreement grants a 1.5 percent base pay increase in January 2018 another 2.5 percent increase in January 2019 and a 3 percent increase in January 2020.

The agreement increases the emergency room co-pay from $65 to $200 to help control health care costs for taxpayers,
