Bedford football field vandalized
BEDFORD TOWNSHIP -- Bedford Public School officials have pledged to track down the vandals who damaged the high school's football field.
Two games had to be rescheduled so the field can be repaired. Long tracks of field were missing.
Bedford School District Athletic Director Mark German says the damage was noticed last week, but it wasn't obvious. He thinks a chemical was poured on the field. "Whatever they put on there, got stronger with time and like kind of certain herbicides work it takes a while for it to burn out the grass," said German. "It got more pronounced."
School officials promise to prosecute whoever is responsible. Anyone with information should call the Monroe County Sheriff's Office at 734-240-7409.
