    NWSD PRESS RELEASE:

We expect repairs to be complete by Friday evening, but a Boil Advisory will be in effect until Monday morning.
What does a "Boil Advisory" mean? The EPA, as a policy of standard procedure, sometimes requires a utility to advise its customers of a water boil advisory. This simply means that consumers should vigorously boil, for at least 1 minute, any water used for drinking, cooking, or oral hygiene.
This is a precautionary measure. Boil the water vigorously at or near 212F for one full minute to kill any disease causing bacteria that may be present in the water.
A microwave oven may be used to boil the water. Water is safe for bathing, laundry, and washing dishes.
After service is restored, there may be air in the water lines for some time. This is normal. You may use the water, but please remember that a Boil Advisory is in effect.
