Cancer benefit to raise funds for terminally ill 11-year-old

    Toledo, Ohio (WNWO)-- A family says they are planning a send off for a terminally ill little boy. Back in November, 10 year old year old Brandon Bright went to the ER because he wasn't feeling well. It was then his family discovered what would later be diagnosed as stage 4 brain cancer,

    After not responding to treatment, Brandon's life expectancy has gone from months to weeks. His family has a benefit planned for Saturday to pay for funeral costs, but also to celebrate the little boy's birthday. His favorite character batman will be there.

    The benefit will take place Saturday at Homeboys Sports Bar and Grill from 5-8pm. There will be a spaghetti dinner with a suggested $10 donation. His family has a GoFundMe set up to cover medical and funeral costs.

    Brandon's birthday is Monday.

    Those donating $15 or more for their dinner will also receive a free ticket to the upcoming Extreme Chaos Wrestling event at the Ohio Theatre on the 31st of January. There will be a silent auction as well as a 50/50 raffle. T-shirts and bracelets will also be available to support Brandon and to help raise money for medical and other miscellaneous expenses for his care. Music will be provided by DJ Mudd.
