Construction worker injured during Toledo police chase
A suspect led Toledo Police and Northwood Police on a chase that left a construction worker injured Monday morning.
During the police chase, the suspect in pursuit hit a construction worker who was working at Collingwood near the Bancroft area.
Northwood Police said the chase started after a driver refused arrest for a felony warrant. That's when the chase continued into Toledo.
Toledo dispatch said the worker had been transported to the hospital. No word yet on the extent of the person's injuries.
The man fled on foot, and then stole a red pick-up trick. Toledo Police detectives spotted him driving the vehicle on Cherry Street and continued following him.
The man eventually jumped out of the vehicle on the Martin Luther King Bridge, where officials took him into custody.
Authorities have not released the name of the construction worker or the identity of the suspect.
