TOLEDO, Ohio — The Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station has chosen a Toledo-based service as the primary recipient of its latest Harvest for Hunger Campaign.
The plant's Vice President Terry Brown presented a $41,808 check Wednesday afternoon to SeaGate Food Bank for working even harder to move food to hundreds of thousands of households during a pandemic.
"The need has gone up at least 50% from the beginning and it's stayed there for this whole entire year," said Mindy Rapp, SeaGate operations manager.
In addition to food, the donation will help provide paper goods and laundry essentials to clients across eight counties, including areas near the plant.
