Energy efficiency project complete after 3 million in funding
MAUMEE, OH (WNWO)- $3,523,657 in funding has now left Maumee Assembly and Stamping more energy efficient.
The company replaced fluorescent lights with LED bulbs, switched out boilers with thermostat-controlled heating units , and got a new roof and insulation.
The moves comes from the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority’s Better Buildings Northwest Ohio (BBNWO) energy efficiency program.
The project was also financed with support from the Ohio Department Services Agency’s (ODSA) Loan Loss Reserve program, which provided $1.76 million in loan loss reserve support.
It is the program's largest energy efficiency project to date.
Since its inception in 2010, the BBNWO program has provided more than $34 million in financing through the completion of over 150 projects throughout Northwest Ohio.
