Flooding continues to affect the area
TOLEDO, Ohio (WNWO) —
City Crews in Toledo have been working all weekend to combat flooding.
There is a Lakeshore Flood Warning in effect until 10 p.m. Sunday night.
The threat of flooding continues along the Lake Erie shoreline, particularly in Point Place.
Crews have placed pumps to send water back into the lake as it blows over the break wall in some areas.
Sandbags are being placed in areas as needed to protect life and property, per the national weather service.
The city says they are continuing to monitor flood gates in Point Place closely.
There has also been significant road closures.
State Road 523 has flooding and the road is closed between State Road 53 and State Road 19.
State Road 2 is closed due to flooding between state Road 590 and 358.
State road 53 is closed between Paulsen Road and state road 523 near mile marker 1.
