House ready to bulldoze after fire breaks out in central Toledo

Toledo firefighters battled a house fire located in central Toledo Thursday morning.

The fire destroyed the house and a bulldozer is on the scene to tear it down according to officials. It happened around 2 a.m. in the block of 1300 Buckingham Street in the back part of the home. As of 5:30 a.m., officials said crews are still out there.

Authorities said residents live in the house but were not present during the fire. Three dogs had been in the backyard, but firefighters rescued them. There are no reported injuries.
