Lucas County sheriff's department investigating possible scam
TOLEDO, Ohio (WNWO) —
The Lucas County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a citizen reporting a man claiming to be a deputy sheriff came to their door to sell a coupon book.
The citizen was told the proceeds were for the local Drug Abuse Resistance Education program.
The Lucas County Sheriff’s Office does not solicit for money to support our local D.A.R.E. program.
If you are approached by someone claiming to support our program please be aware you would not be supporting your local program.
