Children with invisible disabilities got the chance to hit the ice rink tonight in Bowling Green.

NWO Apraxia Support hosted a superhero skating outing featuring plenty of skating, pizza and activities for children that suffer from autism, anxiety and more.

President Beth McIntosh says they host events like these every few months.

"I just think it's really important for them to find a support network, so these families can connect with other families that have similar struggles, then they can hopefully find other people that what they're going through and can help them."

NWO Apraxia Support uses the terms superheroes because they believe "real superheroes live in the hearts of small children fighting big battles."
