Perrysburg Winterfest set to kick off 10th year
PERRYSBURG, Ohio (WNWO) -- Just as it starts to really feel like winter again it's time for the 10th annual Perrysburg Winterfest.
The two day festival kicks off Friday night in downtown Perrysburg.
There will be a number of free family fun activities, like horse drawn trolley rides, interactive ice games and s'mores at the fire pit.
The big feature is an ice carving competition with professional carvers from all over the country.
"During that time you'll see all of them competing from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, so you'll see almost 10 carvers in action so they start with nothing and you watch them form them into beautiful art," said Shannon Benge, Downtown Perrysburg Inc. president.
There will be carvings done on Saturday as well as activities in the heated tent.
The event is free. For more information visit their website http://www.downtownperrysburg.org/winterfest/.
