MONROE, Michigan (WNWO) -- The Monroe Police department is investigating the city's latest homicide.
A department news release states around 8pm Tuesday officers were dispatched to gunshots fired in the 300 block of Kentucky Avenue
Upon arrival, both an adult woman and man victim received gunshot wounds.
Lifesaving measures were performed on the man and later died.
The woman was transported to a nearby area hospital for treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
Detectives were called to the scene who later determined an altercation had taken place.
Police state details are still forthcoming and a possible suspect has been developed but has not been located at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
