PERRYSBURG, Ohio — Robotic integration company RoBEX opened its doors Wednesday to show a new generation of technological business solutions to manufacturers.
The company's autonomous mobile robots can be applied to various factories to do some of the heavy lifting when processing goods like food, beverages, paper, tissue, glass or chemicals.
RoBEX is committed to being a significant part of regional industrial advancement by connecting with nearby companies and hiring local residents.
"We focus on growing and being a great part of the community, not just obviously on the hiring the right folks from the area, but also being good stewards to the community and providing educational opportunities and co-ops and internships to the next generation of engineers and workers going to be coming into this industry," said Cal Bowers, RoBEX vice president of growth.
The company also recently showed new developments in worker robot intelligence that can safely take care of repetitive jobs, allowing more room for additional positions and higher wages.
