Luna Pier, Michigan is finally starting to see water go down after flooding caused evacuations.

The fire department began the evacuations with 10 volunteer fire fighters at 1 a.m. and worked throughout Sunday to get people to safety.

Allen Cove was a prime spot for evacuation and remained closed throughout the day.

A Pittsburgh musician performing in Toledo was actually housed at Luna Pier over night.

"For me, the shock was when they woke me up at three in the morning and said we needed to evacuate. I was like 'why, I just got in bed. We came back from an event.' So I was surprised that the lake was beautiful in the morning and then by night it had big waves and the wind was very strong," said Alejandro Pinzon.

The fire department said that, while homes did receive water damage, nobody has been reported injured.
