Shooting survivor, teachers who stopped attack speak to NW Ohio administrators

Logan Cole vividly remembers the day he was shot.

He remembers walking into the bathroom at West Liberty-Salem High School and finding himself face-to-face with Ely Serna.

He was shot twice, before hitting the ground.

Teachers and administrators acted quickly, stopping Serna before anyone else was hurt.

They, along with Cole, spoke to a group of administrators and law enforcement officers in Sylvania Friday.

Hoping their experience can push other districts to prepare themselves if violence occurs.

Ultimately, Cole wants to spread the message of forgiveness, and tell others it's possible to move forward.

Serna was sentenced this year to 23 years in prison.
